Renovated With Our Community’s Needs in Mind

8 October, 2026

When planning our recent renovations, one of our priorities was ensuring The Sunny could continue supporting the many different ways our community comes together.

The Sunny has always been more than a place to dine. It is where families celebrate milestones, local groups gather, businesses meet and people come together during some of life’s most important moments.

With this in mind, our renovated event spaces were planned to accommodate a wide variety of occasions. Rather than creating spaces for one particular type of function, we wanted to provide options that could suit the changing needs of our community.

Our spaces can welcome children’s birthday parties, christmas parties, engagements, weddings, graduation celebrations and private parties. They can also provide a comfortable and respectful setting for wakes, giving family and friends a place to gather and remember a loved one.

As a community club, it was important that our renovations created room for celebration, creativity, connection and reflection.

Theatre performances and community events can bring audiences together through shared experiences. Corporate spaces provide a local setting for meetings, presentations, workshops and team events while our private dining rooms offer a more intimate place to enjoy a meal with family, friends or colleagues.

Every gathering has its own purpose and atmosphere. Keeping this variety in mind throughout our renovations has allowed us to create spaces that can support everything from lively celebrations to quieter occasions.

Located in Sunnybank on Brisbane’s southside, The Sunny has long been a place where people come together. Our renovated event spaces are another way we are growing alongside our community and creating a place for the moments that matter.

If you are planning an upcoming gathering, you can explore our event spaces and learn more about hosting your occasion at The Sunny on our Functions page.
